Hi, I'm Kristina. Thank you for visiting!
My work explores a deeper connection between science and spirituality, and my process is a journey to find the divine within reality. The finished paintings often represent a heavenly and meditative space where celestial scenes meet the natural beauty of earth, and can inspire joy, hope, and serenity.
At the age of 2, I completed my first masterpiece on the underside of our family dining table with permanent markers. My very own Sistine Chapel. I knew I'd be an artist back then, and my parents knew I'd be trouble. I'm also a graphic designer, jewelry designer, world explorer, introvert, dreamer, thinker, adventurous foodie, kitchen dancer, lucky mom and wife, goofball, and passionate lover of life.
After designing book covers in New York City and working as an advertising Art Director in the Midwest, I began my professional art career in 2013. I've been fortunate to call many states home, but my work is most influenced by my time living in Hawaii. The ocean, beaches, sunsets, lava flows, mountains, and the generous spirit of aloha all provide eternal inspiration.
I've shown my work in art galleries across America, and was selected as a featured artist at the top-rated luxury resort, The Grand Colorado on Peak 8 in Breckenridge, Colorado. Several large metal prints of my abstract pieces are on permanent display in the common areas, aquatics center and Infinity Day Spa.
My style is best described as 'lyrical abstraction':
vibrant and expressive, dynamic and ethereal. I work with palette
knives and acrylic mediums on canvas to form texture, and then up to 50
layers of dry-brushed oil paint to create depth and detail.
If you are interested in commissioning a painting, purchasing a print of one of my pieces in a size that is not listed, having a live Zoom or FaceTime call to see available paintings up close, or if you have any questions about my work or process, I'd love to hear from you! Send an email to email@example.com or visit my contact page here.
